Jeep VS Hummer: An In-Depth Review

Jeep VS Hummer: An In-Depth Review

If you’re a Hummer fan, you’ve probably heard of the 2022 GMC Hummer EV that has seemed to grab everyone’s attention. But, what is the hype all about? We’re here to fill you in on some of the highlights of the all new 2022 GMC Hummer EV and how that compares to the Jeep Grand Wagoneer.

You guessed it, the 2022 GMC Hummer EV is an electric vehicle. Although we do not know too much about the electric stats yet, we do know that different battery options will be available for this vehicle. Currently the reported horsepower is said to be around 1000 horsepower with a 3 second 0-60 mile per hour time. If this doesn’t already sound badass to you yet, it is said to have 11,500 lb-ft of torque as well.

Another neat feature on this car is the “crab mode”, which will allow the car to maneuver in unusual ways, such as diagonally. This may seem pretty cool when you’re exploring the outdoors, but it could even become handy in normal driving as well. This feature could potentially even make parking easier in tough spots.

Some other neat features this car will have are removable roof panels, underbody cameras, four wheel steering, power frunk, high definition screens, super cruise, extract mode, pickup multipro tailgate, ultravision, full underbody armor, Bose audio system, and even hill descent control with hydraulic brakes and regenerative braking. If this vehicle seems like a must have for you, unfortunately you may be waiting a while because it looks as if it is currently already sold out for 2022.

While the new 2022 GMC Hummer EV seems like a no-brainer, the 2022 Jeep Grand Wagoneer seems like it may also be a car to be on the lookout for. The 2022 Jeep Grand Wagoneer still does not have too much information released yet either, but we do know that it has a towing capacity of 10,000 lbs, integrated trailer brakes, ParkView rear backup camera, and hitch zoom and lineup assist.

Even though there is limited information about the Jeep Grand Wagoneer, we do know that they seem to be bringing lots of luxury in 2022. There will be 24 way adjustable power seats that have massage and memory functions along with being Palermo leather-trimmed and suede. This vehicle will have three rows that are able to 60/40 split or all go down to maximize your truck space. Along with all of this, it will also feature a tri-pane panoramic sunroof and a McIntosh entertainment system.

The safety features on this vehicle are pretty sweet as well. There are about 120 standard and available safety features. Some of them are night vision with pedestrian and animal detection, lane management systems, a vehicle safe, intersection collision assist, pedestrian and cyclist emergency braking, traffic sign recognition, 360 surround view camera, blind spot monitoring, cross path detection, and intuitive sensors to help anticipate potential road issues.

Will the 2022 GMC Hummer EV have any of these sweet safety features and a comparable towing capacity? We’re not sure yet, but from the looks of it, it probably will be very comparable to the 2022 Jeep Grand Wagoneer. As for the overall aesthetic of the two cars, they are definitely different. Right now, the Jeep Grand Wagoneer is giving us more of a luxury SUV feel, while the GMC Hummer EV is also giving us some luxury, but more for an off-roading vehicle. As for the price, it looks like the 2022 Jeep Grand Wagoneer will be a little less starting than the 2022 GMC Hummer EV, however, you should expect to spend anywhere from $67,000 to over $100,000 for either of these vehicles depending on the models, trim levels, and add on features.
